Excellent Overview

The author's presence is strong here. He thoughtfully explains the value, construction, and use of metaphor in therapeutic settings. Is it good for non-therapists? The fact is that anyone interested in metaphor and its use in any setting would gain much from this work. This is a solid, abundantly clear, and very well written study of the subject. He references and describes many seminal works on "right brain" approaches to influence and change.
