Many options and features of Gcc are best documented in this book

Until recently I had no good reference for the fun 'pasting' that is available using the construct __asm__("%... This was my only good reference for these as well as __attribute__. This book is also a very good document of the internals of this version of Gcc. If you are working with a legacy compiler then buy this book.

GCC "Bible"

If you're doing any serious GCC work or are actively involved with free UNIX platforms such as FreeBSD and Linux, you'll want to have this book handy. All of it may be available in e-form for free, but I rather have printed versions to flip through and review. If you're porting gcc to your own hardware platform, then you probably already have it!

An excellent book on this topic!

An excellent book on addressing the excellent GNU C compiler. As the previous edition, the author give us enough detial information on porting Gnu CC for different platform. I like the porting part of this book since it is the unique book in this field. For using GNU CC, yeah, you had better ask Richard Stallman, since he know more than others, right? :) It is not a book for a beginner, it needs some background on Compiler and GNU CC. It is an Excellent book on this topic!
