Entertaining

I chose this book because of a live encounter with a Moose cow and two of her calves while on a hike by the banks of the Nenana River just outside of Denali National Park and Preserve. It surprised me, but it was a total delight. This book is a collection of excellent photos with humorous quotations/captions for each and it is a brief and delightful read.

Excellent photography with captions to smile about

This is an excellent gift book for anyone interested in moose. It's small and the reader can go thru the entire book in about 10 minutes. There may not be witty belly-laughs when reading any caption assigned to a photo (ex., two moose shown resting on a person's front lawn, caption: "Lawn Ornaments." However, this small book has charm and appeal and simply causes any reader to smile. Author/ Photographer Bill Silliker was a gift to Maine's wildlife -- his work is sorely missed.
