A real good book

I am from Brazil, and I never had watched her TV programs. I brought the book with curiosity, due the opposite opinions of the readers. As indicated on the title, it is how to separate noise from news. How many nuggets one can find reading tons of newspaper or hours watching TV, during a lifetime? This is a usefull book. It should be carefully studied.How to separate nuggets and noise in this book is your first task. If you are able to do this; then you will SURELY make money in any economy!

Great for the Novice

I am not much into investing, but this book gives you all the tips and tricks on where to get the news you need to make a good decision. Covering everything from the fomc to daily newspapers, the tips on where to get what you need are great. Anyone could profit from taking Marias advice!

Every page is useful to me ...

I needed to come up to speed quickly on this for professional reasons and had the usual background of bits and pieces of information from other sources. I couldnt use a textbook and most of the other financial books I have tried to get into were too narrowly written or assumed I knew too much. Use the News was right where I needed it - easy to read and gets across the whole story and becomes quickly useful. Last night, for example, I sat for an hour at Starbucks and learned all about money flows and how to use them. Went home and went to the sites Bartiromo suggested and finished off the evening with my notes on how to use money flows in my research and investment decisions. This is a great book for the masses of reasonably intelligent investors who are overloaded with data and underloaded with how to put it all together. I highly recommend it!

Now I know how to use the news

I thought that this book was great because It was written very clearly and for all levels of investor.Maria wrote It with the novice in mind but It is great for all. I have been investing for over 20 years but I still gained a lot of insight from this book. There is so much more to investing in this current information age. It is not all charts and technical analysis.Things like investor sentiment are so important as Maria points out in the book. No longer is information given only to analysts. We now all have equal access to all of the information. Great job Maria!
