I was a faithful reader of Trillin's US Journal series in the New Yorker magazine for about 15 years from the 1960s into the early 1980s. I even have many of the articles that I tore out and saved. This book must have been only a small selection of those articles.I urge you to seek out some of these articles at your library in back issues of the New Yorker. You will see why the copyright owner should reprint this book of early works by an outstanding non-fiction writer. I hope that someday all of the series will be available.
