My First!

Upstate Madonna was my first Lyn Lifshin experience. This book was like a Pistachio; I couldn't consume just one, the taste was unique to the point of addiction! The sensation of engagement in Ms. Lishin's work as she has ceaselessly spun the strands of her life, vision and imagination are consistent in Upstate Madonna. I now own almost 40 of Ms. Lifshin's books; the tone and rythmes are still as distinctly appealing as they were in this book, my introduction to a truly unique poet.
