I read this a long time ago, so I wouldn't presume to write a review except that nobody else has. This book, as far as I can remember, is cool. It's about pioneer types and who loves who and who rides with who through the bush and floods and fire and stuff. As far as I can remember, this isn't really meaty literature like some of MF's other stuff; but it's a good read! Kind of like a tougher, Australian version of all those Anne at Green Gables books.
