...Amia sat quietly pondering in her attic bedroom of her Victorian home. She twirled her black curls with one finger. She always liked to sit in the window. She loved how the sunshine felt on her mahogany skin. Through her window, veiled with a purple curtain, she spied on two birds sitting on a tree branch in her front yard. They had been there all morning. All they did was sit there and watch her. Every time she looked at them, they would turn away. Amia found this to be quite suspicious."What do you think they are doing? I'll bet they're spies. They've been there all morning. I know they are watching me. I wonder why?" said Amia. Her cat didn't respond. "Cat. Hey, Cat." He continued to clean his paw and ignore her. Amia sighed. "I really need to give you a better name," she said to her cat, whose name was Cat... Little did four-year-old Amia know that this Summer would be filled with adventure. Follow her, and her new friend Kate, as they stumble into another realm.
