I LOVE THIS BOOK! I rarely buy DP anymore because most of the time when you have read one of her books the others are pretty much the same except different character names/locations.This is one of the exceptions! Ward Jessup's housekeper (Lillian) plays matchmaker between her boss and niece, Mari. She tells Ward that Mari needs a quiet place to escape from memories of an attack (in truth the attacker came out the worse for wear) and she tells Mari that Ward is dying and wants someone to write his memoirs. Mari comes to visit and you'll have to read the book to appreciate what all happens. In the midst of it all Ward decides he wants Mari to become his lover and is not happy when she does not just fall into his lap. This book has more laughter than tears (although I laughed so hard in a couple of places that I did cry) and it was very entertaining. I highly recommend this book!!!Enjoy!!! I still do.BTW, This book contains characters from Rawhide and Lace (Ty & Erin)
