UNIVERSITY NORTH is a comedic satire of the life and machinations within an English university during a typical academic year. It centres around senior management and its interaction with a newly-created department and its academic staff, and the attempts to raise the profile of this post-92 university and give it greater kudos. Central to this are two characters, one, the Vice Chancellor, and the other, a very bright cleaning lady. Not is all that it seems within University North. The university, and all events within, are clearly completely fictional However, the author did spend his career working in such an institution. Academia can be very odd indeed
