Yallop isn't Faulkner. Yallop certainly isn't Joyce. He might approach the intensity of Dean Koontz. However, Yallop gives us something considerably more gripping than any of those authors. With no subterfuge or manipulative detail left out, Yallop accurately predicts much of what has taken place in front of our very eyes since the Supreme Court decision of 12 December 2000 installed George W. Bush in the White House and initiated the rolling coup that has held the United States in a choke-hold for the past six and one-half years.

An educational study on the drug world.

On the back cover of Yallops "Unholy Alliance," are the words "This book should be read by every politician, parent and policeman..." I would like to add every teenager. The fight against drugs is as Yallop states in his novel, "the enemy within" ourselves. Besides conventional drug education in schools, "Unholy Alliance" clearly depicts how the youth throughout the world, not only in the USA, are being manipulated in order to make a select group of drug cartels very, very rich, which in turn gives them untold powers in the political arena which in turn manipulates populations around the globe through propoganda to vote for whom the drug cartels want in power in order to benefit themselves. This not not just a simple question of drugs, but a far wider cancer and the solution would be for teenagers to realize the full manipulation going on in the world and to say no to drugs for more than the obvious reasons. I highly recommend this book to any parent, who can in turn from a child's early years, educate that child into the full implications of accepting that joint, e, line or shot. It is not just a question of the addictive personality, or the "enemy within" that personality that destroys a life, but the fact that every time that personality buys drugs, they are relenquishing their freedom politcally, and unwittingly, the democratic freedoms of others by monetarily investing in the political and social machinations of drug cartels. "Unholy Alliance" is not only an entertaining read, but an educational one as well.

Holy Cow!

Right from the start, the introduction which explains how the drugs HQ had enough swag to buy Microsoft and Coca Cola company in one go, you know this book is going to kick some serious bottom. The story is based around the drug HQ attempting to find an American president who would strongly oppose drugs but have a dark secret so that he could be controlled. By banning drugs, they would remain illegal and so greater profits could be netted than if the drugs were legalised. What was the presidents secret? You've got to find out yourself, but I'll tell you one thing, when I found out, I literally screamed out 'Oh my God, so that's what it was.'This was my second novel that I had ever read. Since then I have read tens and tens of thrillers but I've got to say, this book is unbeatable. I look forward to his other fiction works.
