I never imagined. You're an inspiration!

I knew this author growing up. Though I heard things here & there that illuded to problems, as a youngster, you just never imagine. Carol, the things you endured broke my heart! I had such a loving family that I couldn't fathom them not being there for me & encouraging me at every step along the way. Praise GOD for your girlfriends & the direction HE gave you. There truly was only one set of footprints in the sand much of the time. I can't wait for your next book! Keep the honesty & 'realness' there.

A Triumphant Story

I really enjoyed this book. It is forthright, honest, and brings the reader along on a journey from struggle to passionate faith. I describe Carol's faith as passionate because it is the underlying motivation for her responses to the situations that she has faced and continues to face. It was a joy to share a few steps of her walk with God. I couldn't put it down. I encourage readers to buy this book. It will strengthen all who desire a closer relationship with our Creator.

Is there more to life than this?

I picked it up and couldn't put it down -- really. Followed my three children in the yard until I finished the last page. Carol echoes the cry of a million mothers who, with two, three, or four children say "God, is there any more to life than this?" Indeed there is. Through the genuine heartaches, through life's devastation, and the frustration of losing traction in those middle years, there is hope.Read the book and realize that you are far from alone in your struggles.
