Labour is an important event with unique experience in woman's life, which gives her greatest satisfaction by delivering her own child, "the wonder creation of master craftsman". Primigravidae with unengaged head at term or at the onset of labour should be considered as high risk, and with proper monitoring and use of partogram, vaginal delivery is possible in majority of cases with minimum foeto-maternal morbidity.
