This book bears a funny title: Undoctored, why health care has failed you and how you can become smarter than your doctor. Dr. Davis exposes a medical truth from his professional observation. In this information explosion age, internet offers a lot of useful official and unofficial medical advices, some good, some bad and some ugly! However, Dr. Davis offers a mine of information to control personal health as some doctors still stand still in their old mode of thoughts and antiquated education. He also points out the government departments are pro business bias at citizen health expense, be NIH,FDA, USDA & companies. All these led to the dire health situation we all are facing: obesity, diabetes, cancers. He offers a 6 steps to seizing control over our health with many helpful information how to eat the best to maintain good health and longevity. Armed with these suggestions, readers can out-smart their doctor. Certainly knowledge is power for our well being even American gets the best healthcare system but does not score the best health, only 37 in UN rating! Who is ripping us off with junk foods loaded with HCFS to damage our organs. He shows foods from industrial plants not from real plants are toxic. This is a powerful book for health!
