How and Whys of Reading/Writing Research Explained Clearly
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 19 years ago
Kamil, Langer, and Shanahan's book is excellent. It is a quick run through statistics without being scary; they go past statistics and discuss ethnographic research as well. They write in as plain a language as they can given the topic and use excellent examples to explain what topic they are discussing. The book is thorough yet brief; there are questions for the budding researcher (or budding literacy specialist) to consider when reading research. This book should be "required reading" for graduate students in literacy master's programs.
