Understanding Psychology

This book was very interesting. I used it in addition to another Psychology book for my class. Understanding Psychology had much more to offer. I recommend this one for beginner classes and a reference tool to look back upon when needed.

Very enjoyable

I have to say that "Understanding Psychology" was the most enjoyable textbook I had the pleasure of reading during my sophomore year in college. With every chapter I read I became more interested in the material. The book is very well organized and all the topics fall into place to make everything easy to understand. My favorite chapters have to be the ones dealing with learning, memory, thought, language, and intelligence. Mr. Freeman, has done, what I believe to be an outstanding job with this introductory book to the science of psychology.
