Bad. Not insightful.

He begins his discussions in the 1980's, at the time he sees his expertise. He talks about businesses as all not best "to be best" but to instead suggests them to be "competitive." In this book Porter also labels different types of positions he sees from his point-of-view; he makes stereotypes about what personality-type is needed and makes the case for those stereotypes in his contexts. This person doesn't have enough experience to write this type of book - a book labeled as 'essential' in relation to the 'Harvard Business Review Press' but Michael Porter's ownership in printing. Michael Porter is from HBRP, but he isn't insightful.
