Undercurrents is Over the Top

This has to be one of the best suspense novels I have ever read. I was up into the early morning hours reading this one. Lou Boldt is a detective in the Seattle area. He is hunting a serial killer. They thought they had him at one point and even brought him into court. He was shot by one of the victims fathers. But it turns out it wasn't him. Lou is getting really stressed trying to figure out who the real killer is. And bodies keep mounting up. With the help of his more than a friend psychologist, Daphne, they develop a profile for the killer. This is the first book in the Lou/Daphne series. It is awesome. Can not wait to read Angel Maker.

A 5 Star Winner!

Pearson, through a driven homicide officer takes the reader on a chase for a serial killer, or is it a copy cat? The author quickly moves you through the facts of the case and places before you the questions-- How? Why? How are the victims selected? Is there just one killer? Each chapter brings you closer to one of the answers. The movement of the book is excellent, short chapters that give specific clues. This is one book that will involve you in the investigation by page 15. You will feel as if you are working along with Detective Lou Boldt

A true page turner

From the second I read the first word I could not put the book down. This book's plot is well planned and written. What is nice is that the author does not repeat himself in order to keep the plot flowing. This is my first Ridley Pearson novel & I am planning to read all of them.

One word, "Awesome" !!

Never have I read a book so intense and so addictive! I lost almost half a nights sleep trying to find out what happens next. When I finished reading it, I so wanted more. That's why I went out and bought his other "Lou Boldt" books. I recommend this fast paced thriller to anyone who is a fan of this genre - even if you're not....

Ridley Pearson at his best

This was my first Ridley Pearson book. I had read an article in the Boston Globe regarding new mystery writers and decided to try them all. Pearson is the one that I have stuck with. When I first read Undercurrents, I literally could not put it down. In fact I missed an Eric Clapton concert because I lost track of the time. This is the first Lou and Daphne novel and, arguably, the best!
