From buying and reading this book some time ago, I have to say that this book a a great synopsis of the world's Special Forces, how they operate, organize, etc. I would have like to have seen some more detail, but I realized that this would be unlikely, mainly due to the nature of Special Forces. This book is a great introduction to the world of Special Forces and is a good reading by those who want to learn about them.
Great looking, simple, too the point, book

I love the way this book looks. Some of the colour photography is excellent. This is a first class primer on both modern and historical Special Forces. If you have any interest in then modern or historical military, then this is well worth your dollar. It does a lot to de-mystify what SF does and who they are. It's worth noting that the author served in UK Special Forces, as a Naval Gunfire Observer and therefore more than qualified to write this work. I did spot a few errors, but the overall utility of the work more than outweighs them.
