For all those who want an answer

Sir Robert Anderson has answered the bothersome question, "why does a loving God do nothing when children are being murdered and innocent people are being destroyed?" The short answer to the question is, Jesus came the first time as our kinsman redeemer to save us, and bring us into a period of grace. When He comes again, it will be as the avenger of blood. His silence of the present time gives us the opportunity to repent and accept the gift of His salvation. When God does act, then Armageddon will ensue and Judgment (no more chances). Anderson's work cuts through the misconceptions taught by many Christian religions by going directly to the Bible. His study of the Bible is a great help to our own discoveries inside the Word of God.

Silence of God

Sir Anderson does not mince words, and beware, his literary conventions are well beyond new-millenial standards. Have a dictionary handy. You'll need to ponder his words carefully, but it is well worth it. Anderson gives a thorough treatise on the subject, shedding light where it is absent on a phenomenon that few are capable of answering. Why is God so quiet? I'm sure you have wondered, and if like most, eventually shrugged it off. Yet, Anderson squarely addresses the ramifications of that attitude, and the result is to restore faith where it wanes. Thus, a superb book, and one that is perhaps more appropriate nearly a century after it was penned than in the day it was.

Sir Robert Anderson's books are classics. He carefully analyzes Biblical doctrines and produces a treasury of insights frequently overlooked by students of the Bible. He is a Bible teacher's teacher by excellence. He shows not only how the Bible must be understood but also how it must be lived by the believer.

A Must Read

When I first read this book it helped clear up a good deal of confusion I had concerning God's current dealings with men today, and why we live under a silent Heaven. This book is very relevant today in view of all the terrible violence around the world, and will help believers young and old with such questions as "Why does God allow suffering?" and "What has happened to miraculous interventions?" The chapter on Satan is especially informative. I strongly recommend this book.

Great Book

I would strongly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in finding a Biblical approach to miracles and understanding how God operates. The only "problem" with the book is that it makes you think, which tends to slow down your rate of reading. However, it's worth it to read a book founded on Scripture which gives a great understanding into who God is and how the grace of Jesus Christ makes a difference for us now. If you like this book, you must check out everything else he has written.
