Two wishes away from happiness

Just as the clock rang twelve, a boy and a girl made a wish. The boy wished to be a regular soul, one out of the many lost in the vastness of the world. The girl wished for the world to be at her feet and for her name to become a constellation. The universe had perfected the art of playing deaf but it couldn't help but feel for these two souls vibrating at the same frequency while wishing for such opposite things. As it listened to their cries, something no one could explain happened. For a few seconds, everything stopped moving. There was no time and no reality, only possibilities. As the world shifted on its axis, a boy and a girl's lives changed for better or for worse. And from that moment on, no matter what happened, these two people's paths were destined to meet at a crossroad.
