Living Words

I felt as if I had taken two trips to Africa. The simplicity of the truth contained within these words are profound. I personally search for anything that contains the life of God so that, as part of the Body, I may be edified. Two Watches not only contains that life, but also vividly depicts the sights and sounds of an environment much different than the one most of us Americans are familiar with. The heart and burden of the author is clearly felt as she peels the layers of her soul open for all to see. While describing her second journey to Ghana, the author shares the following: "We flew into the night, heading for the morning." I believe this sentence speaks prophetically to the very walk of faith all believers are on, especially the author. We step out by faith with no natural understanding, then awake to newness of life as a result of wholehearted obediance to our Father. Thank you, Anita Sikes, for your obedience.

More than extraordinary !!

This 1st time author has more than hit the nail on the head !! Her warm descriptions allow you to feel the moisture in the air, smell the fragrance and see what she has gone and seen. A motivating journey that will have you question your purpose, and possibly help you to further define your vision. If your eyes don't well up on nearly every page. Your heart is not beating.

A Must Rea for Missions

I read this book and found that it goes beyond the missionary label. It brings to life another culture and makes everything so vivid it is like you are right there in the midst of everything. I found comfor in reading it and it made me feel at home. I recommend this to everyone I meet and I have my whole family reading it!

Intriguing

I found this book to be very intriguing and insightful. It caused me to ponder my own spirituality. Am I the Christian I should be? If she can do this, what can I do?

Captivating

When I got this book, I didn't really know what to expect. After I got done reading the book, I wanted to read it again and again. I found it amazing because it touch me on so many levels. I recommend this GREAT book to any one that is looking for a great time. Great job, Mommanita. !!!:)
