Nice book--good instructional section

This book has a very good instructional section with great pictures. I would consider myself an intermediate knitter, and this is one of the few books that I actually understand the instructions for skills that I already have. Usually, they leave me confused even though I know what they are doing. The patterns themselves are very nice. Definitely nice classic things here. All the hats are knitted flat, nice for beginners, as are a pair of mens gloves. The pictures of the finished projects are good. You can see all the details well. If you can knit and purl, I think you will enjoy this book. Even if you are past the beginner stage, these patterns are still things that you would like to make. All the patterns call for Rowen yarns. I suggest visiting [...] to get weight and yardage information. That way you can substitute a less expensive yarn if desired.

Very nice, but...

I think the title made me expect something different. The two stitch thing means knit and purl. Hello? Are there any others? That said, it's a gorgeous book, and the lack of 5 stars is only for the titale, which I found misleading.

This book contains patterns for clothes and accessories for men, women, children and babies, and also some homewares. All the yarns used are Rowan yarns, and some could be substituted with 8ply or 4 ply yarns (American fingering and sport weight) while some use bulky yarn. My favourite is the sweater shown on the cover which uses a DK weight yarn, has a nice v neck and collar and measures up to 119 cm bust. All the patterns are classic in style.
