The culprit who says his name is Michael makes one stop at an abandoned factory, but Eleanor who bravely perhaps stupidly mouths at him while she drives is too chicken to enter the building as she fears the dark.Mike Reilly is a cop on the lam from his blue peers. He has proof of police corruption that he wants to give to the FBI if he lives long enough to do so. His only regret was bringing into his mess Ms. Librarian whose courage has hooked him. Though terrible at relationships, he has a reason to live, but will die to keep Eleanor safe from those chasing after him. Eleanor, who dreamed of adventure, finds this dangerous trek is more than she wished for as not just her life is at stake; her heart and soul is on the line with Michael.Ignoring the Stockholm Syndrome and that the enemy seems pathetic versions of the Keystone Kops, police procedural romance readers will take immense delight in this on the lam tale.
