Don't quit on this book, and it won't quit on you

There are several things that are interesting about the book. It kept my attention throughout and I'm notorious for not finishing books. The imagery and dialogue really stand out in my mind. And I feel that people will get something out of it especially if they pay attention to the goings-on in Book II. It illuminated the prior passages in Book I. In that regard it reminded me of Virginia Woolf's to To The Lighthouse; to take a built-up plot and clarify it is especially satisfying in a fairly lengthy novel such as this.
