My daughter's favorite

I'm happy to see this book back in print. It was one of my daughter's favorite books to read when she was young, and she returned to it regularly. Now, she suggests it as a gift for young relatives. I particularly appreciate the fact that the book includes stories about men and women, as well as people of different races and ethnicities, who all played important roles in the history of Texas and the US.
