A Great Little Guide for an Awesome Manga Series! (IMHO)

I've flipped through this fan-service guide a few times and I find something new to look at each time I do. By now I've pretty much covered the whole thing and really thought it was quite cute. Put out by the Shonen Magazine Editorial Department it is a bit like the Clamp No Kiseki, with a little more information in a more manga-style format as opposed to the magazine/art book type. There are a lot of fun tidbits other than just a guide to the characters. There is a fan gallery which I thought was great (I wish I could draw half as well as a lot of these budding artists!), an advice column run by Fai (who may not be the best person in the world to give advice!), a guide to Kurogane's opinion on other characters strengths, a short manga vignette about winking and poll results of fans favorite characters, scenes, lines and such. In the front of the book are a few full color panels of the Tsubasa crew. I particularly love the one of Fai, Syaoran and Kurogane with their respective kudan, muy awesome!! The only thing I didn't really like was the tease about the Tsubasa goods, some of which were giveaways you can't get anymore. Why show them off if they're unattainable? I WANT A MOKONA MUG, yes, I do! Overall this is a nice little addition to keep side by side along with the manga series on the shelf.
Not THAT bad

I suppose if you just like reading the stories and have no other interest, I guess this book isn't your pal. But, if you're intrested in learning more about how this story was out together, or if you're intrested in how the pros do it all, this is a pretty handy tool. Even if you weren't intrested in any of this, it's still pretty cool to look at anyway. It's unreasonable to give one or two stars just because it doesn't have any of the actual volumes in it. Because, I mean, HELLO obviously because it's a 'character guide' you're not going to expect any of that, no? So, overall, it's worth four stars (humor me, peoples).
