Gangster Life - Glam or Sham?

In the book True Stores of Gangsters the author tries and succeeds in giving the reader an overview of the old school gangsters operations and how they lived their lives. For example, the book for a moment focuses on the infamous Al Capone. As we all know, he was one of the most famous gangsters, but most people don't know how he came to an end. I won't go into details, but after reading this book, you will quickly realize that most (if not all) short stories in this book come to a tragic end. At first this book glamorizes the gangster life, but then it shows that gangter don't always live the nice life: it's a struggle. I think that the book on a 1-5 scale would receive a strong 4 because of the type of reader that I am. It is a book for people who like a more factual book that tells a story from a first person point of view. That is why I think that the book fit me so well.
