Comic book format

I had no idea this was basically a comic book in hard cover. Off to donate it, maybe someone will like it. Unfortunate Waste of money. Not anything I'd read...was hoping for a continuation of the Janet Evanovich Metro Girl and Motor Mouth books which I really liked! Guess I should have read reviews!

Review for Trouble Maker & Trouble Maker 2.

Was very disappointed in both books. If I wanted a comic book in hardcover I would have bought one. Sure, the artwork is okay, but reading was tough even with my glasses, small print in bubbles.

Trouble Maker - WOW

Trouble Maker was interesting to read, in comic book form. It's been many years since I have enjoyed a book like this!

Trouble Maker

I think the money was well spent. What a delightful spin on a new novel. I'm anxietly waiting for the second installment. Fact is I've pre ordered it. Yes the story leaves you hanging but that's what makes it worth the reading and waiting and anticipating. I'm thinking most people aren't liking it because they can't handle change. I love it. Buy it, you'll love it if you look at it in a different attitude.

Evanovich Fans, give this graphic novel a chance!

A very cool addition to the Evanovich franchise! I am a relatively new reader of Janet Evanovich's novels, since I am only on book Eleven of her Stephanie Plum series, but I am a big enough fan to have jumped at the chance to read her new Graphic Novel, Troublemaker, book one in the Barnaby and Hooker graphic novel series. Evanovich fans who have already started reading the Alex Barnaby series will be thrilled that her story continues with the graphic novel. If you have started reading the series, Troublemaker is considered book #3. I have not yet read Metrogirl or Motormouth, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the graphic novel one bit. The artwork was amazing, capturing in a single frame what may have taken pages to describe. The characters were classic Evanovich - and I loved each and every one. The men were hot, the women were feisty, and the Miami backdrop had a very cool vibe. The only change I would have made was to the length - it was like watching the first 15 minutes of a movie. Even though the last page left me wanting more, I didn't feel like I got nearly enough prior to the last page. After discussing my concerns with my contact at Dark Horse, this is a common feeling from traditional novel readers like myself, and we may see longer, more fulfilling plots in future installments. I don't think we will get any fewer cliffhangers, which are a staple to comics and graphic novels. Bring on the suspense! I think the Barnaby and Hooker graphic novel series is a perfect way for traditional readers to cross over into the world of graphic novels. I loved it and will definitely be continuing this series! So happy that I only have to wait until November 2010. They may leave me wanting more, but they don't make me wait long to get it! I can't get enough of Janet Evanovich and her characters - they're like a reader's candy! Pure entertainment!
