Book by "Trivia" Guinness Holder

The author of this book compiles a daily nationally syndicated newspaper "trivia" column (entitled TrivGuy). He's picked out his favorites (from column readers' emails) and nicely put them into: Trivia, "Cause You Can't Take 200 Papers to the Bathroom". That's quite a subtitle, as I wouldn't desire to take that many papers to the bathroom (you can see the author trying to do that in a fun way on the book's back cover) to dig through his columns for trivia questions. But the the conciseness of this book makes it worthwhile and is fine entertainment not only for trivia buffs, but for all who like to learn fun stuff about a diversified gamut of subjects. Casey has picked out the crowds' favorites that shed new light regarding the "best in trivia entertainment". This book is a "breath of fresh air" regarding all the trivia books out there. There's over 750 multiple-choice questions divided into 6 on every page with the answers conveniently printed at the bottom. I really love having multiple-choices (4 per question). That gives me a fighting chance to get questions correct, as the answers are right in front of me. (I usually can narrow the choices down to 2, and then go from there, hoping for the best.) No more flipping to the back (as in other trivia books), or losing your place, or getting lost and confused trying to find out answers. With this book, the answers are on the same page as the questions asked, that's a very nice feature. I really like that, plus the range of topics is beyond phenomenal. They're so vast, and so entertaining. This book is "think outloud" trivia fun. My super-challenge is to try to get all 6 questions on any given page answered correctly. (I'm running out of pages while fun-trying. I've gotten 5 out of 6 a couple times, but I usually come in at 3 or 4 correct.) Here is a random page of 6 questions (pg. 49): During the 1990s,who was the best-selling female author? Karen Armstrong, Marci Shimoff, Nicci French, Danielle Steel Who was the first US president not to serve two terms? John Adams, James Madison, Andrew Jackson, John Tyler What 1980s TV show revolved around a hi-tech helicopter? Night Sky, Airwolf, Chopper One, Blackhawk Which ACC school did newscaster Katie Couric attend? Virginia, Maryland, Duke, UNC Who's the only girl Smurf? Smurfie, Smurfabelle, Smurfette, Smurfina Which ex-speaker wrote "Man of the House"? Rayburn, O'Neill, Gingrich, Hastert ANSWERS: Danielle Steel, John Adams, Airwolf, Virginia, Smurfette, O'Neill How does this TrivGuy, Wilson Casey, do it? I think the answer is simple, "He's the best in the world at what he does". I can't wait for a Volume II and many more. I'll buy them all!

Wow!

The range of this man's trivia knowledge is incredible! This book has 6 questions on each page, and the answers at the bottom so you'll be able to sleep at night without wondering what on Earth the answer is to a particular question. What I particularly like about this book is that the topics are so diversified. There's something for everyone.
