Read this book.......

A great all around book! I first came across "Triple Cross" through an email newsletter that has a list of upcoming release books. "Triple Cross" caught my eye and I picked it up the day it was available. It's a thriller, thats written like a great action movie, with a great storyline, amazing characters and several plot twists that make for a non-stop read. This is one of those books, you won't want to put down. The Jefferson Club, where the richest of the rich men come to relax & vacation. On this particular New Year's Eve, seven of the ten richest men are taken hostage by a heavily armed paramilitary eco-terrorist squad calling themselves "The Third Position Army", they plan to put the men on trial, one by one. They also plan to broadcast the trials through the internet and let the viewers vote. The main character, Mickey Hennessey is the Jefferson Club head security guard, a former Secret Service agent. After the initial attack on the club, Mickey Hennessey is trapped outside, wounded and his three triplets, Connor, Bridger & Hailey are stuck inside. "Triple Cross" has a little bit of something for everyone. The story is intriguing and has alot of current / recent real events mixed into the story, including alot about fraudulent stock market trading. I'd never heard of Mark T. Sullivan before this book, apparently his previous six books havent made a huge splash here in the states, but he's well known in Germany. After reading and thoroughly enjoying "Triple Cross", I plan to check out Mark's future books and a few of his previous novels! It's a great read if you like thrillers, you won't be disappointed with this one and you might even learn something, I did! Search the web for more information about the real Jefferson Club, actually called the Yellowstone Club near the Big Sky ski resort, Montana!

Total Page-turner!

Though not normally my style of fiction, I couldn't put it down! (I passed it on to my sister, and she couldn't either.) Triple Cross is a thoroughly fun and page-turning read.

Triple Cross - Great book, impossible to put down

I recently read Triple Cross and was engrossed by this book. Mark Sullivan has created a masterpiece - a book that is impossible to put down once you open and begin reading. I essentially read the book in 3 sittings - would have read it in one sitting if I weren't such a slow reader and busy with work. The plot is complex, but understandable - and most importantly, the plot is plausible. The story that unfolds in Triple Cross has relevance in today's society - and digs into topics that affect everyone today - global finances, securities trading, greed, power-mongering, globalism, WTO, anti-WTO sentiment, terrorism - and how all these topics weave together and if not properly managed can lead to a disasterous situation for the United States and the world as we know it. I think this book is perfect material for a major motion picture - would actually be surprised if that doesn't happen. I loved this book and highly recommend it. Enjoy.

Imagine Cindy McCain Held Hostage by Anti-globalist Terrorists?

Triple Cross by Mark Sulllivan Book Review by Mariclare Dunne Ballard Raymond Chandler could have written this novel had he possessed Sullivan's understanding of political developments and social movements. The story and characters cover an emotional and psychosocial range that would interest readers from Tom Hanks to Oliver Sacks. This will probably be a best seller and a film producer's dream. One reviewer described Mark Sullivan's story as tomorrow's headlines. The novel begins with, " True winter hit around 11 a.m. that New Year's Eve. Imagine Senator Dianne Feinstein, her millionaire-broker husband, Richard Blum; Senator John Mc Cain and billionaire wife, Cindy McCain; a Warren Buffet and other of the world's wealthiest people held hostage, put on " trial "by anti-globalists, viewed by ten million TV viewers at a spectacular New Years Eve Celebration at their most exclusive, most secure "club in southwestern Montana." Ten million viewers watch " The General" conduct the trials accusing the power brokers of greed and corruption. Readers from the Financial Times to USA Today will be glued to their seats. Sullivan consulted with the best to write a story about good and evil including the perspective of anti-globalist terrorists Sullivan's clear-cut descriptions, allusions and no nonsense writing evoke a Hemingway mystery style. His insights about humanity are understandable when one read the author's acknowledgements and sees the depth of his research. This novel received excellent reviews. Too many revealed too much of this story. I am not going to do that except to say the relationship of Hennessy, The Vice President of Security for the "club" and his triplet teenagers is worth the reading alone. One reviewer stated that she could not put the book down, an old axiom but so true for this read. I read Triple Cross recently while cruising the Pacific ocean. I came home and read it again . It was a lovely second read on a Saturday afternoon. Don't plan any activity once you start reading this book. I just bought several as gifts for friends.

A hypnotic mind rush

Astutely plotted and well written, Sullivan's new born baby, "Triple Cross," deserves a home on the New York Times bestseller list. For that matter, people in Hollywood need to seriously consider making this thought-provoker into a film on the silver screen. Since "The Purification Ceremony" and "The Serpent's Kiss," this long-awaited suspense novel is finally available. Sullivan weaves an intricate hand over today's maddening economic downfalls and creates a story like no other suspense author I know. Within the joys of good storytelling and smart writing, as always, Sullivan writes a fierce and satisfying thriller that involves terrorists, hostages, corruption to our planet, and the real reason why the stock market plummeted into a pile of ashes around the world. Sullivan succeeds in the three E's of writing: entertains, enlightens, and educates. If there is one book you should read this year, let it be "Triple Cross." You will lick your fingers to turn the pages at a fast-paced rate, scurrying to the end of this brilliant caper.
