Great Reader

My son read The O'Learys Make Friends from This book to me. He thought it was very cute. The O'Leary's cat gets stuck on the roof and they end up making friends while going through several antics to get the cat down. He loved the guy who was yelling about not hitting the cat with a mop. Cat Bath From Feathered Ones and Furry by Aileen Fisher My son really enjoyed this poem. We read it out of the Tricky Troll text book. He loves cats (and bunnies). This is about a cat taking a bath. The Dog Who Came to dinner by Sydney Taylor My 8 year old son read this to me from the textbook Tricky Troll by William Eller. It is very funny. The Stone family invites the new neighbors over for dinner. They bring a very badly behaved dog over with them. It has a great surprise ending. Pet In A Bowl by Patricia Miles Martin Michael read an adaptation of The Rice Bowl Pet to me. This is a nice story of a boy who wants a pet and how he solves the problem of it having to be a very small pet, with a little help. Michael really liked this story. I have it recommended for grades 3-5th.
