the most affordable program for website creation!

This one is the most affordable one in the market. It surely beats Namo and Macroemdia!

easier than working with Front Page

I needed to create a simple web site, and while I will admit I am a bit of a cyber-dunce, I found Front Page 2000 very overwhelming and confusing. Finally, I gave up on Front Page and bought the Trellix book on the recommendation of a friend. Trellix was MUCH easier to use in my opinion, especially their wizard. It is more straightforward and has better, simpler explanations and instructions. I'm guessing Front Page is for people who are very computer savvy and those who do professional web designing. Trellix is good for us common folk who just need to get a simple web site up and running quickly, although I'm sure it's capable of handling more complex sites too. I highly recommend it.

Trellix user buy book for upgrade

I did 5 stars before seeing the book, because of the product you get with it. I'm using the "free" 2.1 version I got with WordPerfect 9. I am so impressed with this older version, I'm trying for a few additions in 2.7. There is still plenty of info at the Trellix Web Site, though it is not kept up well--you have all you need. I'm blown away by how good this software is.I did my Site first w/o support other than Help and Tutorial, but found some usefull info at the Trellix Web Site

Au contraire! Loanwolf needs to check his facts!

I am not an employee of GlobalScape and I will receive nothing (except, perhaps, some heat from loanwolf) for posting these remarks. Trellix Web 2.7 is a great product, and is both available from and supported by GlobalScape. I've tried Micro$oft FrontPage and Netscape Composer and believe me: Trellix Web is leagues ahead of either of them, without all the non-standard tags that would make your website difficult or impossible to access for people using something other than Internet Explorer or Netscape. In addition, Trellix Web has gotten an enthusiastic thumbs-up from Jakob Nielsen, regarded as the leading authority on web usability.

Super Web Site Software

This kit consists of some remarkable software for creating web sites, plus a well-written step-by-step instruction book. It may be the world's best software value -- powerful, easy to use, and very well explained, at half the price of many computer reference books. If you can use a word processor to create a good-looking document, you can use this kit to create a good-looking web site, even if you've never even tried it before. In many cases, you can create a site in an evening. Over a weekend, you'll be able to make something glorious. (I claim no glory for my own Trellix web site, but it's a good example of Trellix's capabilities. You can see it at www.Louis.Sander.com)Trellix web sites are extremely easy to publish to the web, and can include a full array of features: text, graphics, photos, internal and external links, downloadable files, counters, guest books, fill-in forms, etc., all of them with a very professional appearance. The book gives step-by-step instructions for implementing every feature. A "lite" version of Trellix Web comes free with many computers (with my own H-P, for example). This kit includes the "full Version 2.7 Publish Anywhere software" version, which allows one to create a web site and publish it anywhere. (The free "lite" version has all the features, but it restricts your publishing to a few specific hosts. And of course it lacks the book). The software comes with exceptionally good online help, but you can see only one piece of it at a time. That's where the comprehensive book comes in. Corbin Collins' background as an editor (over 100 computer books since 1993) serves him well as a writer. He is a very, very good one, and he explains every part of Trellix in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way. The book presents a much more integrated picture than online help could ever do. The bottom line is this: If you've been wanting to have your own web site, but have been concerned about difficulty, cost, or learning curve, get the TrellixWeb Web Site Creation Kit. It makes everything easy and inexpensive, and it's a lot of fun to use.
