A Marvelous Treasury, Full of Riches

Louis Untermeyer was a gifted man of letters, a gifted poet and superb anthologist. My father owned a copy of this book and, as a teen, I found it and was captivated. A Treasury of Laughter is full of fun, some of it dated, most of it not. William Gilbert, Lewis Carroll ... so many other writers, British and American, are represented here. You can do no better than this and the anthologies of humor compiled by Bennett Cerf to keep yourself amused. And to quote so you can amuse others.
