Timeliness

What could be more timely than beginning the book at an important economic summit? A super wealthy man wants to down the U.S. economy by devaluing the dollar. I wouldn't have understood anything about that until I read the book which explains the roots of our present economic situation clearly and succintly. Then there is Jaimie Richards once more fighting for her life while carrying out her mission and lamenting her lost love Yanie while being tempted to renew an old relationship with someone she knew in her past. The book is action packed and has enough romance to add spice. I couldn't put it down! Write on ladies!

superb entry in a fascinating saga

Army chaplain Jaime Richards arranges for him to do occasional special projects for Eden where she spent three years learning eternal secrets. Her current task is to escort to safety Edenite Dr. Andrea Farmer to the World Economic Summit in Davos, Switzerland in time to prevent fiscal subversion destroying the international monetary system. Corrupt CIA Political Officer Frank McMillan, a member of the Geneva Terrorism Task Force, believes the Garden of Eden exists and has some circumstantial evidence that ties Jaime to the biblical Garden. When the legendary Treasure of Eden surfaces with an artifact put up for bid on eBay, he no longer has doubts about either of his assertions. He plans to kidnap Jamie and torture her if need be into telling him everything she knows about Eden. The latest frenetic action packed Eden thriller (see CHASING EDEN and BEYOND EDEN) is a terrific tale that combines biblical references with modern day intrigue. The story line grips the audience from the onset as McMillan's plans are revealed to the reader and never slows down as an incredible amount of escapades occur in an extremely short time span. Jaime is a fabulous protagonist holding the plot together as S.L. Linnea puts her through enough adventures to turn Job into a doubter. This is a superb entry in a fascinating saga. Harriet Klausner

'Treasure' is a treasure

Nearly a lifetime ago, Omar and Rashid, teenage boys from a Bedouin tribe in the Middle East find a secret cave in the desert. Inside the cave, the cousins discover a box containing six beautiful stones. Both boys immediately realize that this box is a treasure, one which may someday make its owner a "Hajj," the leader of the tribe. In a boyish, half-playful struggle, Rashid falls from a cliff inside the cave and meets his death. Omar, fearful to climb down a rock face to exit the cave, watches during the next two days as desert scavengers consume Rashid's body. To the victor go the spoils, and Omar returns to his camp, fabricates a story that his cousin continued to Jerusalem to find his own fortunes. In the present day, the box has brought good fortune both to Omar and to his tribe. Now the Hajj, Omar is about to take his fourth wife, a teenage girl who needs the Hajj as much as the Hajj needs her. Having told no one, Omar has decided to sell the box through a broker using an eBay auction both to raise funds for a wedding gift for his new wife. However, Omar has another secret, but someone has stolen the box and he is at risk of losing more than his life if he does not find it before his wedding day. Chaplain Major Jaime Richards takes leave from her commission as Army Chaplin in the Iraqi desert. Now, a trained operative of the Army of Eden, whose purpose in Terris is to guide the course of human events toward their most favorable ends, Jaime finds herself tracked by the rogue CIA agent, Frank McMillan. A two-legged monster who has top-secret government clearance, McMillan believes that Eden exists and that Jaime has information. But Jaime is a means to an end. McMillan knows about the box, which may contain something more than jewels. After a painful encounter with Frank McMillan in Switzerland, Jaime is dispatched as an Eden operative to the Hajj's camp as a wedding guest. There, Jaime encounters Yani, with whom Jaime worked in the past and with whom Jaime has fallen in love. The race is on to find the treasure of Eden. Who has the box? Will the Hajj find the box before it's too late? Will McMillan succeed in learning the secrets of Eden? Or, will Jaime and Yani beat him to it? And finally, what is the secret that is contained in the box? The third installment of the Jaime Richards thrillers does not disappoint. Packed with action, international intrigue, and a combination of historic, biblical, and current events, `Treasure of Eden' is a page-turner. For the intellectual reader as well as the reader for pleasure, author S.L. Linnea includes for her characters ethical, morally ambiguous situations. `Treasure of Eden' is no exception and includes a few WWJD (What would Jaime do?) opportunities. These decisions, including an intimate situation between Jaime and an old friend, one which involves Jaime and Yani, an agonizing encounter between Jaime and Frank McMillan, and more that involve tertiary characters are somew
