Nature comes ALIVE through this wonderful book

Wow! What a great book I stumbled across at a used homeschool book sale. Aileen Fisher uses a gifted method of putting the reader into each animals "shoes" in order to help us feel what the animal is feeling during the storm of the century. This story draws the readers into the story while at the same time giving them interesting information about each animal. What an enjoyable way to learn about animals, nature and geography. At times my kids were bouncing on the couch cheering for the underdog rabbit who got away and at other times they were sitting with jaws dropped in fear because a avalanche was falling into the path of some unexcepting animal. This is a great living book and a wonderful resource for homeschool, especially if you use the Charlotte Mason approach.
