A true work of art

"Exquisite" is the word that first comes to my mind when considering how to describe this perfect book. I'm not a South Carolinian, don't know much about the Lowcountry, but these photographs are visual poetry, and Teresa Bruce's narrative is not only superb writing but the necessary deft and delicate touch for framing these images. Holding this book in my hands I find myself longing for my own sense of place.
