Excellent!!

This book is EXCELLENT!!! There are many, many Scripture references from the KJV (which is my favorite Bible version). She definitely has a way of writing to make you think about where you stand with the Lord!!!

Excellent

Learn the next stage in Corrie's journey after the hiding place. Thought provoking and inspiring. Highly recommend.

Amazing book about an amazing woman

I had read THE HIDING PLACE by Corrie ten Boom back in the tenth grade, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Just recently, my interest in Corrie ten Boom resurfaced, and I found myself wondering, "What happened AFTER she was released from the concentration camp?" I picked up a copy of TRAMP FOR THE LORD, and read straight through in just a couple days. The book answered my question. TRAMP FOR THE LORD starts off right where THE HIDING PLACE ends, with Corrie ten Boom returning to Holland, and searching out her new mission in post-prison life. She turns to globe-trotting the world and spreading her story and the love of Jesus with everyone she meets. The stories she tells in this book in 35 little chapters adds up to an amazing adventure that will leave you wanting more. Corrie spent almost 20 years traveling the world, and she has a lot of amazing stories and insights in life to share. So, if you're looking for some encouragement, a great read, or something to work through devotionally, TRAMP FOR THE LORD is a great book. (Also, the ending chapter sets up IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE perfectly. That book details the events of Corrie's life leading up to THE HIDING PLACE. Check it out as well!)

So inspiring could be used as a devotional

I read this book with a box of Kleenex!I think a better way to have read it is daily, like a devotional. The chapters are short, 6 pages tops, and they take one scripture as the theme. Corrie would go into how that scripture was driven home to her, through certain circumstances. The only suggestion I would give is to first read The Hiding Place, you will have a better understand of what this woman went through, and how she was used by God. This book goes into life after the concentration camps, so it is good to have a knowledge of what her life was like before.

Be sensitive to the Spirit of God

Tramp for the Lord is a must read. Corrie's accounts of her travels will inspire, uplift, and teach you many things. For example, if you have ever felt that God could never use you after you've really blown it then you will be encouraged by her story of her plane ride that nearly ended in a crash. During the tense flight she wanted to tell everyone about the gospel before it was too late but she was ashamed and afraid. When the plane landed safely she felt very discouraged with herself. But then a man from the same flight told her that he was amazed at her composure during the high-strung flight and wanted to know what was the secret of her peace. She then shared the gospel with him. He thanked her for giving him much to think about and she thanked God for giving her a second chance. Corrie's adventure illustrates how wonderful our God is for giving us second chances after we feel that we have really failed him.Throughout Corrie teaches us what it is to be very sensitive to God's Holy Spirit in our lives. Sensitive so that when God tells us to make changes in our life we won't wait or make excuses but just be obedient. God can then use you and me like He did Corrie - a tramp for the Lord.

This was a book full of inspiring stories!

I was touched repeatedly by her stories of courage, love, and forgiveness. I sensed an underlying message that happiness comes from walking in obedience to the Lord, whenever and however He requests it from us. Very moving and difficult to put down!

Our God is a God of miracles

Corrie Ten Boom shares her life after her time spent in the Nazi concentration camp. This book will strenghten your faith in knowing we have a God who cares about our needs. Corrie is real with her life and struggles and all that God teaches her through them. This book has changed my perspective about Jesus and what my purpose is in this life.
