A Really Great Book!

This book was really helpful and fun. I like the fact that it gave me the facts in a brief manner rather than belaboring the topic with lots of fluff. I found the methods in this book to be gentle and very effective.

Good Stuff

One of the best books I've read. I didn't have alot of time, and the format was consistent and helped me to remember what I had read. I also liked the illustrations.

Absolutely Fabulous !!!

This is simply the most enjoyable and useful dog training book I've ever read. The best parts were teaching other people to train your dog, and teaching your dog to train itself. At long last, through reading this book, I've been able to train my dad to train our dogs. Brilliant book! I loved it, and so did our dogs.

A delightful book for all caring dog owners.

Utterly enjoyable! How refreshing to read a DOG-FRIENDLY dog training book. Your dog will love you if you read this one. Overflowing with numerous easy-to-use, effective techniques, which are ingenious and just plain downright, unadulterated fun. Anyone who dislikes this book should consider living with a pet rock, or a cabbage, instead of their dog. Seriously, this is one of the best and most useful dog training books on the market. Save your pennies; buy this book and... ENJOY!

One of the BEST dog training books for all owners to read!

I recently received my copies of Andrea Arden's new book, *Train Your Dog the Lazy Way,* and I wanted to recommend it HIGHLY to everyone. Unlike more academic, narrative dog books (many of which are wonderful, but can be time-consuming to read), Arden's book welcomes browsing and nibbling and grazing. If all you do is read the sidebars while you watch TV, you'll be learning a lot! But most people will want to read the whole thing. The book is part of the *Lazy Way* series and is set up for ease of reading as well as ease of training. The sidebars offer "Quick & Painless* suggestions, tell you when something is "A Complete Waste of Time," give you ideas for going further "If You're So Inclined," and tell you that "You'll Thank Yourself Later" if you do this. The ideas are all humane, easy, fun, and are explained in a down-to-earth, no-nonsense style that pet owners can deal with.I ran it by 2 people at work who are casual dog owners, and both LOVED it. They laughed at the funny stuff, read a lot of the sidebars, and asked to borrow it. :-) BINGO.I know several trainers who are planning to use the book in their puppy classes, and I'm now planning to do the same thing. I'll bet it goes over great. I think it's a book any owner can enjoy, regardless of their level of expertise in dogs.Elizabeth TeSelle, Paws Plus Dog Training
