"A nervous man was a careless man,and a careless man was a dead one."

In this episode we find Skye Fargo "in "The Badlands" between Kansas Territory to the north and Texas to the south. It was a wasteland of living death. It was bad country ,plain and simple. There was little water and little vegetation. The soil was too poor to support crops.Stark hills and random buttes were crisscrossed by steep gullies and deep ravines, creating a maze for the unwary traveler. No one in his right mind ever went into the Badlands." It is 1861,the Trailsman is here, and knows that only the strong. He comes across a family of greenhorns who are being led down the garden path to a certain death or even worse for the women,to be sold at a barbaric auction to the worst element of mankind. This is a well written ,exciting yarn, filled with Old West scenes and fast action fighting to the finish. Although, up against seemingly impossible odds,Fargo, hunts down the evil doers and eliminates them one at a time and recues the victims. "With the lives of innocent women and children at stake, and a remorseless gang of butchers on the loose, the one law in the Badlands will soon become: "Never, ever, cross the Trailsman" This is another excellent episode in this popular, long running series.I have made some quotes in my review ,just to show what great writing you can expect to find in this novel. And how about that super artwork on the cover? The Publishers are to be congratulated for the effort they go to, in making the cover reflect the story .It doesn't get any better than what we got here!!
