My eyes raced for the next line

Tom eslick crafted a very entertaining book especially for a New Hampshire citizen's p.o.v. I'm waiting for the next....

A great book to curl up with on a rainy afternoon.

As a mystery buff and outdoor enthusiast, I found Mr. Eslick's fast-paced novel a wicked melding of both of my interests. If you are planning an outing similar to that of the protagonist, Will Buchanan's, you might want to consider waiting until you safely return before you read it. A vicarious wilderness experience for the armchair adventurer.

Eslick's New Hampshire thriller is tops in suspense.

A terrific read! Eslick writes with extensive knowledge of hiking the White Mountains and combines that with a suspenseful mystery replete with compelling and believable characters. Tracked In The Whites is excellent; I had to read it through in one sitting.

bone-chilling, a book that new englanders can relate to

Having gone to Prep School in New Hampshire, I really enjoyed this book. If you love "Spencer for Hire" books you will love this one. I hope he writes another soon.

Must read for hikers of New Hampshire's White Mountains.

While I'm not normally a fan of mystery novels, this one caught my eye. Having spent many years hiking in the White Mountains of NH, I was curious to see how they would be woven into the threads of a mystery. Eslicks descriptions of the trails and mountains are dead-on and it's obvious he spend a good deal of time in those locations taking notes and probably pictures. The descriptions are enough to inspire anyone to hike out to the remote and beautiful Bondcliff just to see for themselves what Eslick describes. The story is interesting and fairly unpredictable. It also makes some not so veiled comments about the news media that is overly eager to sensationalize a story and convict a person before the facts are in. There are a few rough spots in the story--places that could use some polishing--but for a first novel it's quite good.If you're a die-hard mystery fanatic, you might be disappointed with this. However, if you're a casual mystery fan or a hiker like myself, it's a very good and interesting read.
