The book is well witten, easy to read, informative, entertaining and packed full of essential information. I have both editions and look forward to the 3rd edition when it comes out - you should all buy this book!!

Excellent for finding Scottish Ancestors.

I have read and used this book in tracing my Scottish ancestors. There is a wealth of information in this book and it is a must read for anyone doing work on their Scottish family tree. I am working on my tree here in Canada and have been able to go back 200 years with the help of this book and the mormon library.
