This was a really interesting detective novel! It had me guessing whodunit the whole way through and I really enjoyed the journey.
Natalie is the newest detective on the squad and as such, is given the cold cases of the missing nine. That part was interesting enough with the symbols and possible serial killer leads but then there is the added mystery of who killed Daisy and why. Plus, you add in what the Burning Lake area is known for, witches and covens and witchcraft and it really made for an engrossing story.
I have read other detective/mystery novels and they did not always have likeable main characters. Luckily Natalie was very likeable and she tended to make good decisions too. That really helped with the story.
I would definitely recommend this book and I hope that the author will write more novels with Natalie.
