The rating for this book is 4.5 Drake Harrington & Mikerra Stone was high school sweetheart until their senior prom when Mikerra broke up with Drake and crush his heart. Drake he never got over the fact that his heart was hurt. As with high school they graduated and both went there separate ways. Mikerra went to college to become the next journalist and was living in New York City. While Drake listed in the Army. Drake is home on leave from Iraq. Drake has been experience headaches that the Military Doctor is calling "Island Headaches" These headaches are so bad that black out from them and there is numbness in his arms and legs like her is having some type of heart attack. Drake is one of the men in his unit that the US has decided to use and experience mental drug on the men unbeknown to them that they are being used. Mikerra while living in New York was having an affair with a Senator while not one of her best decision. Once she realize that the power the Senator has she tried to get out of the relationship but at each time she turn around he always found a way for her to come back to him so she thought of this plan and to leave New York which she did... Now you will have to read the book to find out that happen...........smiling While Mikerra return to her home town of Wright City, it was just a matter of time before she ran into Drake Harrington whom they have not seen each other in 20 yrs. and unbeknown to them both they are fighting the attraction that is still there. While they are each home they re-knew there friendship and re-discover that they still love each other. Through out there journey they each learn what has been going on in each other lives, Mikirra is concern about Drake headaches. The story brings back high school friends as well as brings the lovers back together. This is a good book and I recommend that you all purchase it. Smooches Louise
