Another 'little book' from Skylark.Don writes in his foreword: " The poems that follow are in a form known as tan-renga. Simply put, they are tanka composed by two poets; the first poet writes the opening three lines (a haiku) and the second poet concludes with two longer (capping) lines, completing a tanka. The dance, as it was done, might just as soon have been called 'a game of contraries' as 'touching the now' because these poems were composed counter each poet's individual strength. McCall, a tanka poet, wrote the haiku and Wentworth, a haiku poet, finished the tanka with the two capping lines. With these contraries it would seem that we unearthed hidden wonder in each other's words, a secret wonder in each other which, in mysterious ways, was unknown to ourselves. I can't think of a better definition of revelation."
