While Conner and Alanna struggle to rebuild their relationship, Alanna wonders if her parents are right in suggesting that two recovering alcoholics are a bad mix. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I defend Alanna too (see review by Christiana Davis)! Everyone hates her because she "stole" Conner!?! Okay, Conner has a mind of his own. He can do what he wants. Alanna's actually a pretty cool character. She goes through a lot, but all most people can say is that she's an alcoholic who needs to get a life and leave Conner and Liz alone. Alanna's parents annoy me. I don't know how she can put up with them. In this book, Alanna meets Sandy Bieche, a recovering alcoholic (i think). Alanna is worried that she and Conner should not be together since they're recovering alcoholic. Interesting storyline. Also in this book Andy decides to do Standup comedy at a club. The first time he goes, he bombs, but the second time he did awesome. Alot of the stuff he said was really funny.Okay, now the Will/Melissa/Aaron/Cherie plot. I like this plot, and i especially like what happened at the end of the book. Melissa sure puts a lot of her time and energy into something like trying to steal Aaron from Cherie.Overall, a good book. If you like/love Liz and Conner as a couple, and can't stand Alanna then maybe this isn't the book for you.
I DEFEND ALANNA!!!!

Sorry to....well actually I am NOT sorry to say that I liked this book and that it was good. Im not ashamed to say that I love Connor & Alanna as a couple I think their perfect for each other! I never cared for the "Elizabeth & Connor" thing. But what Im starting to notice is the reason why ppl dont like Alanna is because she messed up the whole "elizabeth & Connor" situation and they dont want to believe that Connor's over it and moved on.....I love Alanna's character b/c shes not perfect she has problems and dont get over em in a few weeks! She is one of the realest characters that I've read in this series. Ppl say they dont like her storylines b/c she whines to muchbut umm ok her parents are alchoholics and SHES a recovering alchoholic. Of course she receives no love from home so she gets it from her boyfriend who just so happens to be hot...hott...hottt! But on the other hand she's always finding him in the arms of the ex.blonde! So I guess you must expect her to put a smile on her face at every problem that comes up, right.....hmmmmmm? Doesnt seem so realistic to me. !Think about it! But anyway to sum the book up... Alanna is worried about her relationship with Connor b/c everyone thinks its worng, Andy thinks he's a non achiever so they push him to do stand up comedy, and Melissa schemes take a bad turn...Oh and to alenalefay You said something about Trent and his race and that he had...long hair? No correct me if Im wrong but I remember in the book that Trent was pretty much bald and African American. I dont think Tia has centered on one race. She had a thing going with Connor and right she had "feelings" for Andy once upon a time? No I think Tia isnt closeminded which makes her such a good character to read about! Well anyway sorry if I preached to much....it wont happen again trust me! Happy reading!
All About Alanna

Basically, the whole book is about Alanna being insecure about her relationship with Conner. She thinks it might not work out between them because they were both alchoholics. If you ask me, Alanna worries too much. This wasn't the best Senior Year book but I gave it 5 stars anyway because it's still really good. But the whole thing is basically Alanna obsessing over whether it will work out with Conner.

This book was only okay. About the cover models; They are different and I dont like them as well either as some of the other people mentioned. But to lalenalefay, they did mention that Trent was black and never said anything about him having long hair. I dont think the new Conner's as cute as the other one but I don't think he's ugly. Anyway about the book. Alanna and Connor fight and get back together. The usual. Andy tries stand-up comedy again. The only interesting part is the Melissa going after Aaron to make Will and Cherie mad. And that blows up in her face. I had to force myself to get through this book. I hate stories about Alanna so much. The books were so much better when Liz and Conner were together or even when they were apart and Alanna wasn't there. I like the books to focus more on the twins which they don't seem to be doing lately. The only reason I rated this a 4 was because I love the series. I was sorta disappointed in this book but hopefully the next one will be better.

I decided to give this book 4 stars because even though it wasn't one of the best it was still a sweet valley senior year book, which are the best series. Here's what happened!!!Conner tries to get Alanna back after Alanna ran out of his house in book #41 He's Back. Alanna at first won't listen to him. Conner asked Tia to talk 2 her. So tia goes over to Alanna house even though she hates Alanna. One of my favorites parts is when Tia talks 2 alanna and makes her fell like an indiot. I hate alanna so much. why does conner think she's good for him when to every1 else she's obviously not? Liz is way better for him. they really should take alanna out of the series. anywaz... back to the story. they get back 2 gether. alanna starts 2 wonder after hearing a AA speaker talk bout how its good 2 wait a full year after rehab 2 date some1, if thats true. If any1 who reads this really does like alanna or thinks shes good for conner rite a revies telling me please!Melissa gets really close to Aaron. Since Aaron won't make the 1st move melissa decides 2 kiss him. he pushes her a way. melissa tells will that aaron came on to her. wait till u see how that 1 blows up in her face.THen there is some andy and dave stuff but its not really that intresting. This book isn't must have but if u read the svhsy series then this book is 1 u should read! Hope i helped u!
