A Breath of Fresh Air for Relationships!

Judy Borich's book TOUCH AND GO is like a breath of fresh air in the field of interpersonal psychology. I especially love the way energetic fields are described as being the essential basis for understanding interpersonal relationship dynamics. TOUCH AND GO makes it clear how each person has a boundary around their individual energy field, and how there is a boundary around the couple who are in a close relationship... and last but certainly not least there is a boundary in between the two people who are in the relationship. This boundary concept is elegant in its simplicity, and profound in its implications for interpersonal relationship dynamics. When one comprehends these three basic types of boundaries, it becomes clear that one can only speak for oneself, even if one feels strongly that one's partner should agree. This is a great read

This is the best book I have ever read concerning the nature of intimacy and being in relationship. I am a practicing therapist running a residental treatment facility. This book is a necessary read for both personal and professional growth. I have my staff reading it now.

Lovely and wise

Judy's advice to stay out of your partner's choices, to forget about complaining, and to trust that everything is unfolding as it must, is good advice. I am not surprised that the reader who called Judy's teachings "snake oil" is now divorced.

How to achieve joy in your relationships

Certainly, Judy does not teach how to "fix" your relationships with others or with yourself. What she teaches is how to proceed through a process of cultivating joy in all relatedness. Anyone who comes to her or reads this book hoping to "fix" things may be disappointed because the need to fix probably means a need to change and grow. I find that what is written in this book is really very practical and has enabled me to understand and move past my own repeated patterns that have led to disappointment in relatedness. I will admit, though, that those patterns have been hard to change, much like addictions, and it has taken some time for me to take responsibility for them. I now have great joy in resonance with others and myself, and better understand how to move from that resonance back to being centered and able to experience resonance once again--a much better pattern than closeness/boredom/anger/blaming!

The best book on intimacy I ever read.

In fact it is one of the best books I ever read. I don't remember how I discovered this book, but I can say that Grace had a hand in my discovery of it. Judy Borich has written a book that is, for me, a gift from the Universe for my life right now. It expresses everything I know is true. All the Wisdom synthesized from the ages is here in this short book. I read it 2 times when I got it and just finished a third reading. Please read this book and share it with your friends. Read it, while listening to Michael Hewett's Being in Dreaming CD. Each are amazing in and of themselves.
