A tremendous fun resource throughout the years of swimming!

When I was swimming on a regular schedule during the 1980's and into the mid-90's, I found this book motivating and fun to read as well as a great resource about all aspects of swimming. The author's enthusiasm for the sport and determination to find a pool wherever he went was inspirational -- I was always proud to also call myself a swimmer! It was particularly helpful on those days when I would look longingly at the living room couch and a good book and think, "I'll go tomorrow!" A couple of carefully chosen paragraphs would get me out the door and to the pool, and 25 laps later, so very glad I went. I recently decided to return to swimming for its health benefits and because it's always been "my sport," the one I return to time and time again for all of the aquatic enjoyment and ability to eat what I want and never gain an ounce. I knew I had packed up the book somewhere but in the interests of time, just ordered it again and found a used copy for $0.01! Clearly the price was right, and now I am excited to have it on its way to me where it will once again occupy a prominent place on my bedside shelf, to motivate me and remind me of how much I love the water on those days of "Ohhhh, not today!"
