Excellent choice for parent & child

I purchased this workbook as a supplemental to my son's homework. It has helped him to focus on the things he needs to improve on, and I love that there is an answer key so when I check it, I don't have to figure out each problem again (it's a big time saver). It also has a variety of fun activities, which prevents boredom. My 10 year old son actually enjoys working in this book.

Learning is Fun!

My 5 year old loves doing these "projects" as she calls them. I love the fact that she is learning, while she thinks she is simply playing. She is in kindergarten, and this is a very similar format to what she has at her school.

For children, it is a kind of overwhelming book. Although it gives various reading exercise skills, it also has a lot of problems requiring extra works such as write your own opinion, read newpapers, interview others and so forth. For parents, it is a book that you want your children to finish. We skipped some pages and it took while to finish but it was good.

A Great All-Rounder for English Practice

I've used the whole series of these great, comprehensive English workbooks. Although they are named "Total Reading", they have reading plus a whole lot more, for a really good course in general English. I really like the way each page is a complete lesson, and the colour pictures make the books fun and attractive for children. I'm Australian, and we just don't get beautiful books like this over here. It's worth paying for the international postage just to get hold of these great books. I recommend the books in this series to anyone who wants to help their children to improve their English.
