The man who helped keep the astronauts fot in space shows you how to get in shape the easy, relaxed, no-sweat way. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I hate to exercise, always have. However, this program is amazingly effective. I have used it 3 times over the last 20 years and it has always worked great. Just finished up the basic 6 month program and can, for the first time in my life, do 3 or 4 one arm pushups with either arm. For me that is almost unbelievable. Tips to others, don't get too enthuastic. Do only what the book suggest and no more. Don't hurt yourself, don't get fit and drop the program for something more aggressive. Both were reasons I stopped using the program in the past. The best exercise is one that the person can keep up with and make part of his/her lifestyle. I know no better program than the one in this book. I recommend it highly.
Cliff Notes would be helpful

Although the book is small, it reads like a long book; I wish Dr. Morehouse would cut the stories and focus on the facts. I can't take a star away, though, because in our world of diet/fitness programs overload, Dr. Morehouse's suggestions are simple yet revolutionary. It's a true lifetime fitness program. The plan can easily be followed.Dr. Norman W. Walker books complement well this book.
A Fitness Classic

Dr. Morehouse hates to exercise but loves to be fit. He spent a career training astronauts, athletes, and Navy personnel. And he worked out what may be the simplest system for developing elements of fitness that have ever been conceived. He based his plan on the need of Naval personnel to live and work in confined spaces, so what he suggests will work in a dorm room or apartment. Buy this book, you will never regret it. Filled with great advice such as saying that no one has the right to put you under so much pressure that you lose your will to stay fit.
Still Great After All These Years

I purchased this book soon after it became available in paperback in 1976. I used the exercise program back then, along with a low carb diet, the result was a 30 pound weight loss, felt energetic and in great shape. I have purchased many fitness books since then but this book is filled with great information that has stood the test of time and it will continue to benefit any one who reads it and follows the program - it only takes 30 minutes a week!
total fitness in 30 a week

This book is written for those of us who want and need to be fit. We want to be flexable, feel good and have a good chance for a healthy long life. We most certainly do not want to be a slave to our gym or exercise equipment, be suffering with shin splints or blisters or worse. Dr. Morehouse lets us in on what is fit, what it is not, and how to achieve results in 30 minutes a week without pain or injury. He has many years experience in the field and worked on the fitness program for astronauts. Some of the most facinating pages dispell the long-held myths regarding fitness: Don't drink water during exercise, sweating is good for fitness, protein makes you strong, big muscles are strong, etc. Great information that is based on facts and research. Best book on the subject written in years.
